		<description>try vector linux SOHO edition. i downloaded 5.8 rc2 but you could try 5.1 which is the last stable version...old distros just make simple things difficult :) and not marked as stable doesn't mean the hard disk keeps slippin outta the machine...but just a fair warning.

i favor vector linux coz bein based on slackware, it's one of the few distros which let you mess with the distro, as in try all sorts of low-level tinkering as well as it allows entire configuration via GUI scripts. lots of hardware detection scripts. it comes preconfigured with lots of support for proprietory formats and graphics drivers.

depending on your windows dependency you could do with or without cedega and crossover.</description>

I've downloaded mandriva.. but ddnt get time to try it out.. the new Linux's have been haunting me man!!

I've been confused its like Suse - Ubuntu - Mandriva... i fight with myslf over whihc one desrves to get onto my machine... but wait!!! i got an idea.. u test them out and il install the best!! :P
